The 4 hour tour will begin from your hotel / accommodation.

 

The panoramic drive will start with a tour of Dublin's City Centre, where you will get to see the many statues and monuments that are positioned outside many of the historical buildings.

​

The tour will continue into the Dublin mountains and on the old military road, where you will get to view Dublin City at an advantage viewing point. The mountains have unspoiled views of the landscape that is covered with bogland and changes colour as the clouds and light pass by. 

​

Glencree Peace & Tranquility Centre is an ideal place to stop and get a coffee. The centre had many different uses over time, such as a military barracks, school and an orphanage. There is a cemetery near to St Kevin's Church that is the burial place of 134 German civilians and you can learn the story behind that.

 

NB : The Glencree Center is not opened to the public in the evenings.

A short drive across the mountains brings us to the next stop at Lough Tay, which is known as

The Guinness Lake, because this estate was home to The Guinness Family. The views of the lough and the valley below are magnificent and a great photo opportunity. 

​

Powerscourt House has a movie room that has a film showing the history of the estate. There are shops within the house that have many collections of Irish products and if you would like a souvenir from Ireland, you could get it here. Within the estate you can enjoy a leisurely stroll taken in the views of The Sugar Loaf Mountain.

 

The entrance to the Powerscourt Gardens is not included in this tour.

The tour will finish on O'Connell Street, which is very much central in the City and your guide will be able to inform you of the many attractions that are free of charge. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask your guide.
